Sam Tratt ran the Birmingham half marathon on Sunday 1st May 2022 to raise awareness of pulmonary fibrosis and the PF Trust. Sam did absolutely amazing and not only completed this incredible challenge but raised £1,100 for the Trust, which will make such a difference to someone’s life.
Sam kindly sent us his reasons why he wanted to do this run for us.
I completed the Birmingham half marathon on Sunday and have managed to raise over £1000 for the PF Trust which I am delighted with and would like to thank all sponsors and those who have supported me in any way to achieve this. My dad was diagnosed with IPF in 2016 and I have been able to witness the effect it has had on all the family but especially on him and how it has restricted his ability to do things he would like to do. He is chairperson of the local support group in Leicester and I know he really appreciates all the support that the PF Trust gives to patients and their families and I hope that this contribution will help the Trust continue their valuable work.
