How we have helped
We would love to hear from you if we have helped in anyway
I can't thank you enough for your generosity in purchasing a Focus Airsep, which you then loaned to me. After injuring my back, (a fractured L1) I was advised to take gentle exercise but found that my existing Oxygen Concentrator, which I have been using for some 3 years, was now too heavy to carry or to pull along on a trolley. Your kindness has now enabled me to take gentle outdoor exercise which is proving to be beneficial.
I would also like to thank Peter Bryce for his swift response to my request for assistance.
Jane Milton in Greece with her loan POC.
I would like to thank you and everyone involved with the Pulmonary Fibrosis Trust, for arranging the loan of a Mobility Scooter.
The Scooter has given me a new lease of life, i was becoming a prisoner in my own home, but now I feel free.
Once Again, Thank You
Just to say many thanks for the conversation with Malcolm just now (Fri 28th, 9:30) about my father; even though I didn't leave a message, he called back and has already put my mind much more at rest than it was.
As a National Breastfeeding Helpline Supporter myself, it was interesting and reassuring to be able to experience making a call for support - thanks, you did a great job!

"I would like to thank you for helping me enjoy a much needed break, this was only made possible by your efforts. My initial inquiry was to ask if you knew a way of my being able to purchase a Portable Oxygen Concentrator witch you kindly said you would look into. The PF Trust arranged for a concentrator to be delivered, it was delivered by courier two days before my holiday on a one hour time slot and collected the day after our return with the same efficiency. It seems very inadequate just to say a very BIG THANK YOU and would be very pleased to recommend this service to anyone who wishes to take a holiday abroad."
Yours very Gratefully Michael J Billimore.
We recently recieved this letter from a couple who had booked to fly to Australia via Bangkok with Air Malaysia and had booked oxygen on the flight. One week before they were due to fly the airline told them that the new fleet of Airbus A380s didn't have supplementary oxygen facilities. They came to us via their respiratory nurse and we resolved the problem.
"My husband and I would just like to say thank you so much for finding the oxygen needed on our flight to Malaysia next week. Heather Lamb, my husbands respirator nurse at Southmead Hospice was in touch wit you when help when Malaysia Airlines let us down.
We really didn’t expect funding for the whole amount and are so very grateful. I enclose a small donation for all the good work you do."
Thank you again, Margaret Absalam Habil
"I contacted the people at the Pulmonary Fibrosis Trust last autumn, asking them whether there was a chance they could help me choose and buy a mobility scooter, as I was finding it increasingly difficult to get about in my East Anglian village and having to rely on my car. Within a very short space of time, they had come back to me with the offer of a brand new scooter to be delivered to my door as soon as the paperwork was in order. And sure enough within three weeks my blue rocket was at my home, very easy to drive and a real pleasure to get out and about on. I can’t thank the Trust enough for their kindness and good advice."
A letter of thanks
"When my husband Murray was diagnosed with PF on New Year’s Eve 2008 he was only 54 years of age, running his own plumbing, heating and gas installation business, our sons were both still living at home and we had a large mortgage. He only sought medical attention because his irritating cough following a cold was getting on my nerves!
Within only two years Murray was unable to continue to work due to the physical demands of his job and the breathlessness and exhaustion that it caused, so retired on medical grounds...

"Thank you so much Pulmonary Fibrosis Trust and its donors, (including a close friend) A portable concentrator was loaned to me for my dream holiday to Mexico. It meant I was able to take advantage of seeing the incredible sites that I would have had difficulty in seeing otherwise. It was an Airsep Freestyle which was light enough for me to carry around when I needed to walk any distance. The service was very efficient and prompt. Amazingly I found things that I thought would be impossible actually were manageable. Floating with an inflatable vest in warm water holding my husbands hand I was able to swim with tropical fish, turtles and dolphins. Probably not possible again now not working, but truly a wonderful experience! Having the safety net of the concentrator gave me the confidence to have an adventure like that! Thank you again PF Trust and all the Donors and Trustees" - Melissa Hippard
